SLEEPTITE/SLEEPRITE BOWS FOR NIGHTTIME EYELID CLOSURE
Ophthalmic Resources Partners has announced the release of its first product, SleepTite/SleepRite, available for purchase by eyecare providers and their patients. This new product is designed to help patients with nighttime eyelid closure issues, because patients who experience exposure problems at night as well as exposure from partial blinking can experience difficulty with dry eye disease treatments and often have corresponding meibomian gland dysfunction, as well.
SleepTite/SleepRite works to help keep the eyelid sealed shut during sleep, allowing it to function normally to protect the cornea and conjunctiva, says Ophthalmic Resources Partners. Utilizing a porous, latex-free design, the product is simple to apply and available for patients who have regular and sensitive skin types. It is sold in boxes of 30 pairs. OPLEE DEBUTS EYEGLASS CASES FOR CONTACT LENS KITS
Oplee has launched its own brand of eyeglass cases and microfiber cleaning cloths to offer the best fit for use with its patented travel contact lens kit.
The travel contact lens kit holds a user’s eyeglass case, solution bottle, and contact lens case in one convenient package. It works with most travel-sized contact lens solutions, contact lens cases, and hard-shell eyeglass cases, but it will work best with Oplee’s products, according to the company.
Oplee’s new line of eyeglass cases fits most eyeglasses. The cases feature a durable, stain-resistant metal design with a protective felt lining. The microfiber lens cleaning cloths will remove dust, oil, and smudges without scratching, says Oplee. Call (832) 795-4809 or visit opleekit.com . ■
ABB LAUNCHES “ABBY” CONTACT LENS ORDERING PLATFORM
ABB Optical Group has announced the pilot launch of Abby, a web-based contact lens ordering platform that allows patients to order directly from their eyecare providers. The pilot will elicit feedback from participating providers and patients to improve the platform ahead of its official launch this summer.
According to ABB, Abby offers a solution for the common loss of revenue and gap in patient care. MKM Research reports that 59% of patients buy contact lenses online compared to 28% before the pandemic. This new e-commerce platform will help strengthen practitioner-patient relationships by keeping the transaction at the practice, with the benefit of free shipping for patients, says the company.
Described by ABB as a “virtual staff member that is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week,” Abby will be the only platform of its kind that is free for providers. Call (833) 741-2229 or visit helloabby.com . ■
