COOPERVISION INCREASES MYDAY TORIC RANGE BY NEARLY 70%

CooperVision has announced a parameter expansion for MyDay toric, increasing its current range by nearly 70%, according to the company.

MyDay toric now offers 4,392 prescription options with the following parameters: sphere powers of plano to –6.00D and +0.25D to +6.00D (in 0.25D steps) and –6.50D to –10.00D and +6.50D to +8.00D (in 0.50D steps). All powers are available in –0.75D, –1.25D, –1.75D, and –2.25D cylinders and in around-the-clock, 10° to 180° axes.

MyDay toric lenses employ Optimized Toric Lens Geometry, a technology that provides uniform horizontal thickness, a large toric optic zone, and a smooth, continuous, and optimized ballast toric design, according to the company.

Additionally, CooperVision offers its OptiExpert fitting app to help streamline the fitting process, which calculates and recommends a toric lens based on the patient.

COOPERVISION INTRODUCES MYDAY ENERGYS

CooperVision has introduced the newest addition to its product portfolio: MyDay Energys daily disposable contact lenses, designed to address ocular symptoms related to digital device use.

According to the company, MyDay Energys is the first daily disposable with single vision aspheric lens design, which was initially introduced in CooperVision’s Biofinity Energys.

CooperVision shares that MyDay contact lenses are made with Aquaform technology, designed to provide a balanced combination of high oxygen permeability, a naturally wettable material, and optimum modulus for increased breathability and moisture. Additionally, Myday Energys offer built-in UV protection from 86% of UVA and 97% of UVB rays.
