March 31, 2024  Cliara LLC has been granted a U.S. patent for a device designed to accurately measure the force required to remove GP contact lenses from the eye. According to the company, the patented force meter complements Cliara’s portfolio of ocular devices, including the only robotic assistive device for contact lens application and removal. Cliara is collaborating with BostonSight and LV Prasad Eye Institute in a clinical study to evaluate the effectiveness and applications of the device.
