Art Optical announced the availability of customized higher-order aberration (HOA)-correcting optics for its Ampleye Scleral lens series.
In partnership with Ovitz and powered by the xwave system, Ampleye prescribers can now measure patient-specific visual distortions and use that data to design custom, wavefront-guided lenses—improving clarity for patients who still experience flare, glare, halos, or ghosting despite an otherwise well-fitted lens, according to the company.
Available exclusively in the United States through Art Optical, Ampleye Scleral is a fully vaulting scleral lens system developed by the Katt Design Group for patients who have irregular corneas and ocular surface disease. Prescribers interested in incorporating HOA measurement and correction into their Ampleye fitting protocol can contact Art Optical’s consultation team to get started.
