The Ocuvia Ultrasonic Contact Lens Cleaner G11 contact is now available. Traditional physical cleaning methods, including hand-rubbing and ultrasonic cleaning, help remove surface deposits and residue. According to the company, Ocuvia combines ultrasonic cleaning with UVC treatment to address surface contaminants and microbial reduction within the same cycle.
For the ultrasonic cleaning, the device uses high-frequency vibrations at 105 kHz ± 10 kHz to help loosen surface contaminants and residue from contact lenses. Additionally, the built-in UVC source emits ultraviolet light at a wavelength of 270 nm as part of the device’s disinfection process. Both the ultrasonic cleaning and UVC treatment operate simultaneously during the automatic 3-minute cycle.
Ocuvia is designed to be used with fresh multipurpose contact leans solution and is compatible with both soft and hard contact lenses, including GP and orthokeratology lenses.
