As we head toward the close of another year, things can become both exciting and hectic. Thanksgiving followed by Christmas and New Year’s bring anticipation and anxiety simultaneously. This year has been unlike any other in modern history. While it has gone by quite rapidly, it is never too late to reflect on the current and future impact of important events that transpired in our personal and professional lives.
For many years, it has been our tradition to look back upon the past year and to report an “Event of the Year” in our January issue of Contact Lens Spectrum. This is something that we believe to be monumental in the field of contact lenses, whether in a positive or a negative way. New for 2020: We intend to publish a contact lens “Product of the Year,” which could be a specific contact lens, care solution, design, device, or concept (e.g., patent) that you think warrants recognition based on its impact or potential impact on the contact lens market.
As always, we would love to hear from you. Please email us your thoughts and send nominations for the 2020 contact lens “Event of the Year” or “Product of the Year” to jason.nichols@pentavisionmedia.com.
