- To understand regional differences in ECP business performance, a representative GPN sample of 2,600 ECP locations distributed across the four U.S. regions were analyzed for the daily count of eye exams over the past 2.25 years. Daily eye exams averaged highest for ECP locations in the South (13.1 exams per day), and lowest in the West (10.8 exams per day). After the pandemic-induced low of Q2 2020 (8.3 daily eye exams per door nationally), there was a dramatic rebound in daily eye exam counts that has been maintained.
