Valley Contax Introduces PosEYEdon Fitting Program
Valley Contax has introduced PosEYEdon, a customizable contact lens fitting program that provides protected territories, marketing resources, and support to eyecare professionals.
Created from FDA-approved GP material, the PosEYEdon lens arches over the eye and is supported by the sclera, enabling the space between the back surface of the lens and the front surface of the cornea to be filled with sterile, unpreserved saline solution, designed to provide moisture to the eye, according to the company. Valley Contax shares that PosEYEdon lenses are designed to offer minimal movement of the lens, as the lenses are customized to fit under the eyelids, which works to prevent lid awareness when blinking. Additionally, for presbyopic patients, the PosEYEdon Plus with Trident technology offers center-distance and center-near options to fulfill each patient’s distinctive visual demands at all three distances, according to Valley Contax.
Further, the company shares that PosEYEdon fitters have access to a marketing program that runs daily Google, Facebook, and Instagram ads.

Bruder Healthcare Announces AllerFocus Percutaneous Allergy Test
Bruder Healthcare has announced its distribution agreement with AllerFocus for its Percutaneous Allergy Test, an allergy screening for 78 of the most common airborne and environmental allergens.
AllerFocus’s allergy test is designed to be an easy-to-use and pain-free experience, relying on skin contact to identify which allergens cause skin reactions. Fifteen minutes after applying the allergens to the patient’s arm, staff can measure the size of the flare or skin reaction among the 78 allergens compared to the two controls, according to the company.
Participating practitioners receive a supply of the 78 allergens, shipped cold, along with all the necessary tools: dip well tray sets, storage containers, 10-prong sterile testing applicators, measurement tools, and documents, including an allergy health assessment form, a test prep card for patients, test signature forms, and a color-coded test report form. Additionally, marketing materials are provided in both English and Spanish.
