Hoya Vision Care introduced a new online myopia training course designed for optical assistants and practice support staff that covers the basics of myopia and myopia management. Specifically, the MiyoSmart In Practice course will cover the basics of myopia, including how it is caused and why it tends to progress, as well as how myopia management works to slow eye growth. The program also explores effective and confident communication with patients and parents, according to Hoya.

The course consists of three 30-minute sessions and does not assume prior knowledge. The first live webinar will be held on Oct. 16 and a recorded version will be made available shortly after.
