Art Optical Contact Lens Inc., in partnership with Contamac, recently named the winners of their Specialty Contact Lens Travel Grants. These individuals have demonstrated the use of Art Optical lens designs to solve patient needs in unique situations and will receive financial assistance to attend the Global Specialty Lens Symposium in Las Vegas later this month.
Gillian Uldrich, OD, cornea and contact lens resident at Indiana University School of Optometry will present “When Scleral Lenses Won’t Do: Corneal GP for Post Refractive Ectasia”; Reneta Simeon, OD, ocular disease and primary care resident at Illinois College of Optometry, will present “Challenges with Scleral Lenses for Patients with INTACS”; Mary Avisado, OD, MS, cornea and contact lens resident at Pacific University College of Optometry, will present “Drug Delivery and ‘Round-the-Clock Scleral Lens Wear for Recalcitrant Neurotrophic Keratopathy”; and Megan Cruce, a fourth-year student attending Salus at Drexel University, will present “Precision Vision: The Advantages of GP Multifocals in Astigmatic Presbyopes.”
Also receiving travel grants are Josh Normandeau, OD, and Diana Masolak, OD, cornea and contact lens residents at Illinois College of Optometry, for their case reports.
