Hoya Corporation announced the appointment of John Goltermann Lassen as the new CEO of Hoya Vision Care, its eyeglass lens division. Lassen will report to Daniel Nutu, president of Hoya Eye Health, Hoya’s umbrella company for the eye health-related businesses.

Lassen has been with Hoya group since 2014, serving as the CEO of Hoya Surgical Optics, Hoya’s intraocular lenses division. He brings more than 35 years of experience in the health care industry, having previously held global leadership roles with companies such as GN ReSound and Maersk Medical.

Alexandre Montague, the current CEO of Hoya’s Vision Care division, will leave the company on April 1, after five years with the company.
