Improved Keratoconus Fitting System Launches
Art Optical Contact Lens, Inc. recently re-launched its new and improved AKS (Art Keratoconic System). The improved kone fitting system features updated tamper-evident packaging, easy-to-use fitting charts and the Optimum (Contamac) family of GP lens materials, according to Art Optical.
The AKS design allows you to control the optical zone diameter according to the base curve relationship, according to Art Optical. As the base curve steepens, the optical zone diameter decreases to prevent midperipheral seal off. The AKS system features standard base curves from 7.20mm to 6.00mm. AKS provides a practical means of managing keratoconic patients through the use of corneal topography or diagnostic fitting sets, according to Art Optical.
