CooperVision recently launched ClearSight 1-Day, a line of daily disposable soft contact lenses. CooperVision claims that ClearSight 1-Day lenses are thinner than other brands and have design features that work together to provide optimum comfort and excellent health for daily wear patients.

ClearSight 1-Day lenses feature a 52-percent water content material and are available in sphere powers of +6.00D to -10.00D in 0.50D steps above +5.00D and -6.00D; a center thickness of 0.07mm at -3.00D; an 8.7mm base curve; and a 14.2mm diameter. The lens also features a UV blocker.

CooperVision has also extended the parameters of its Proclear Toric contact lenses with the introduction of a -2.25D cylinder power in the 8.4mm base curve.

Canon U.S.A., Inc. now offers its Eye Q Capture Review software, designed for use on the Canon Non-Mydriatic CR-DGi Retinal Camera. The software is a portable retinal imaging solution that features a drag-and-drop interface to allow for rapid image acquisition, quick review of images in stereo and RGB (Red-Green-Blue) separation modes and automatic image storage, according to Canon.

The software also features Emboss, a three-dimensional rendition from a single image that practitioners can view at a given set standard of separation without the need for special stereo glasses.
