Ultra-Thin GP Design
Art Optical Contact Lens, Inc. now offers Thinsite2, a lens that the company says uses patented lathing techniques and advanced mathematical concepts for a thinner overall profile that reduces lens mass and increases oxygen transmissibility while maintaining lens stability. The ultra-thin and light lens profile aids in lens centration, according to the company. Art Optical claims that by eliminating stress points, Thinsite2 is less prone to lens flexure compared to other ultrathin designs, even in lower-powered parameters. Junctionless front surface technology reduces lens awareness and lid interaction, according to the company.
Thinsite2 is manufactured in Boston XO2 material (Bausch & Lomb) and is available in parameters to fit the vast majority of patients, according to Art Optical. Call (800) 253-9364 or visit www.artoptical.com.
