Wireless Digital Indirect Ophthalmoscope
Earlier this year, Keeler Ophthalmic Instruments released its Digital Vantage- Plus LED indirect ophthalmoscope, which the company says is the world's first wireless indirect ophthalmoscope able to produce digital images. The instrument captures video and sharp still pictures, with the convenience and mobility of wireless technology, according to Keeler.
The new Digital VantagePlus LED indirect ophthalmoscope retains all of the original features of Keeler's VantagePlus LED with the addition of an integrated digital camera to capture video and still images. Images are accessed using the Keeler software via a USB interface and are compatible with other video packages capable of receiving video input from a USB source, according to the company.
Keeler's Digital VantagePlus LED indirect ophthalmoscope captures both video and still pictures.
The LED light of the indirect ophthalmoscope improves image clarity with brighter, whiter light and delivers a long service life, according to Keeler. The company says the instrument uses an intelligent optical system that automatically changes the optics and mirrors when the aperture is adjusted, providing a 3D stereoscopic view of the retina.
