SynergEyes, Inc. now offers the SimplifEyes 1Day daily disposable lens. SimplifEyes 1Day lenses are enhanced by Dual Tangible Polymers (Tangible Science) that provide one polymer coating on the lens surface and another polymer in the solution. According to the company, the polymers are designed to provide enhanced wettable surfaces and comfort as well as less debris buildup.
SimplifEyes 1Day is manufactured in etafilcon A, with a Dk/t of 34 and a low modulus of 0.43Mpa. It features aspheric optics, an ultra-thin edge design, and UV blockers. The lens is available in an 8.6mm base curve, 14.2mm diameter, and in powers of +0.50D to +4.00D and –0.50D to –6.00D in 0.25D steps. It is currently available in the United States.

BRUDER ANNOUNCES EYELEVE CONTACT LENS COMPRESS
Bruder Healthcare announced the immediate availability of the Eyeleve Contact Lens Compress, which the company says delivers consistent, therapeutic moist heat that alleviates symptoms of meibomian gland dysfunction and contact lens-related dry eye. By stimulating glands and increasing oil production, Eyeleve helps stabilize the ocular surface to reduce dryness and to extend comfortable wear time of contact lenses, according to Bruder Healthcare.
The Eyeleve Contact Lens Compress utilizes silver ion MediBeads and an anti-microbial EyeOnic fabric. Bruder says that the EyeOnic material has anti-microbial threads woven into the fabric of the compress, reducing the risk of infections. BAUSCH + LOMB INTRODUCES ZEN MULTIFOCAL SCLERAL LENS FOR PRESBYOPIA
Bausch + Lomb (B+L) introduced the Zen Multifocal scleral lens for presbyopia, which will be exclusively available with Zenlens (16.0mm and 17.0mm diameters) and Zen RC (14.8mm and 15.4mm diameters) scleral lenses through the company’s Specialty Vision Products unit. According to B+L, this lens will allow practitioners to fit presbyopic patients who have irregular and regular corneas as well as those who suffer from ocular surface disease, such as dry eye. The design features center-near optics in both eyes, with add power ranges from +1.00D to +3.50D in 0.25D steps.
Building upon the Zenlens and Zen RC scleral lens technology, the new Zen Multifocal scleral lens incorporates decentered optics, enabling the near power to be positioned over the visual axis, according to the company. The multifocal design also offers variable near zones from 1.5mm to 3.0mm in 0.5mm steps.

CONTAMAC LAUNCHES 200DK GP LENS MATERIAL, HYPOCHLOROUS ACID SOLUTION
Contamac has expanded its range of Optimum contact lens materials with the launch of Optimum Infinite, a GP material that the company says has the highest combination of oxygen permeability and flexural modulus on the market: 200.4Dk and a flexural modulus of 1341Mpa.
According to the company, Optimum Infinite is stable, wettable, and scratch-resistant and can be used for scleral, corneal, and ortho-k lens designs. Optimum Infinite includes an ultraviolet (UV) blocker, is compatible with Tangible Hydra-PEG (Tangible Science), and is available in customizable larger-diameter sizes.
Contamac also recently introduced HyClear, a hypochlorous acid 0.01% solution for daily eyelid health management. It is a Class II medical device. According to Contamac, HyClear has a broad antimicrobial spectrum that can kill most pathogens in as little as 15 seconds in a solution that provides a non-irritating, non-cytotoxic experience for patients. Contamac says that HyClear also provides extended shelf life stability of up to 18 months. HyClear comes in a safe plastic bottle with a patient-friendly spray pump, according to the company.
