Keeler USA has partnered with Olleyes to offer Olleyes’ VisuAll VRP (virtual reality perimetry). The VisuAll is a platform designed for standardized and mobile assessment of the visual fields and visual acuity. Olleyes says that the VisuAll leverages virtual reality (VR) and artificial intelligence (AI) technology to enable eyecare providers to remotely monitor common eye diseases. The VisuAll system is composed of the virtual reality headset and Olleyes’ proprietary software—accessed from a cell phone, tablet, or computer, allowing providers to test patients anywhere and in any position, according to the manufacturer. Olleyes says that the lightweight headset, about the weight of a mobile phone, provides patients with unprecedented freedom of movement. It automatically analyzes the retinal sensitivity in patients who have glaucoma and other visual disorders. The VisuAll is an intuitive platform allowing providers to easily control more than one device at a time; in addition, the efficient control of lighting conditions allows testing to be performed in any office location, even in a fully illuminated waiting room, according to the manufacturer.
The VisuAll features most used protocols such as 10-2, 24-2, and 30-2 along with pediatric testing; in addition, the companies say that the mobility of the product allows providers to adhere to current health and safety protocols while increasing productivity. TOPCON ANNOUNCES THE U.S. LAUNCH OF ALADDIN-M
Topcon Healthcare launched its Aladdin-M instrument to the U.S. market. Aladdin-M combines corneal topography, pupillometry, and optical biometry to enable objective measurement of corneal curvature, pupil dynamics, and axial length metrics.
Topcon says that Aladdin-M provides the critical tools needed to support myopia management while also incorporating features for keratoconus screening and contact lens fitting. Its software enables documentation of axial length measurements to identify risk factors and to track changes in Rx and axial length measurements over time. Konan Medical USA, Inc., has launched its newest endothelial imaging system: CellChek 20.
This specular microscope for cellular imaging and analytic assessment of the corneal endothelium adds a single-button press exam that acquires images of both eyes and automated analysis with the new, fully automated Center Method, according to the company. Konan says that CellChek 20 also features a larger imaged area and superior image clarity as well as guttata recognition and redaction from cellular calculations.
