Bausch + Lomb Corporation (B+L) announced the US launch of Zenlens Chroma HOA scleral contact lenses. Zenlens Chroma HOA decreases higher-order aberrations (HOAs) by applying inverse aberrations onto the front surface of the lens, lowering the patient’s aberration profile to reduce visual disturbances, according to the company. B+L also noted that HOA correction can be achieved through proprietary Zenlens technologies, including SmartCurve and Bi-Elevation.
B+L is collaborating with Advance Medical and Ovitz to help eyecare professionals integrate Zenlens Chroma HOA into their practices: Advance Medical’s FocalPoints software platform enables seamless and precise production of the Zenlens Chroma HOA design, and Ovitz is providing its latest device, the xwave aberrometer.
