Hoya Vision Care announced the global rollout of the MiyoSmart Coating Smooth Touch Xtreme (STX) spectacle lens coating technology. This technology is now available for use on MiyoSmart spectacle lenses. According to Hoya, MiyoSmart Coating STX is an advanced hydrophobic technology that helps MiyoSmart spectacle lenses stay cleaner for longer by enhancing clarity and reducing the need for frequent cleaning. Note: MiyoSmart spectacles are currently not approved by the US Food and Drug Administration for use in the United States.

To complement the launch, Hoya also introduced the “Open Their World” awareness campaign. This campaign draws on MiyoSmart’s extensive clinical evidence, combined with emotional storytelling to help eyecare professionals confidently communicate the importance of eye care to families during the ongoing school period.
