Johnson & Johnson launched Acuvue Oasys Max 1-Day Multifocal for Astigmatism, a daily disposable contact lens for people who have both astigmatism and presbyopia. The lens is now available in the United States and Canada, and the launch of Acuvue Oasys Max 1-Day for Astigmatism is expected later this summer.
According to the company, the Acuvue Oasys Max 1-Day Multifocal for Astigmatism contact lens is built with the combination of 4 proprietary technologies that enable its comfort and visual results: Blink Stabilized Design, Pupil Optimized Design, TearStable Technology, and an OptiBlue Light Filter.
Acuvue Oasys Max 1-Day Multifocal for Astigmatism is made from the senofilcon A material and has a 38% water content. The lenses have an 8.5 mm base curve and a 14.3 mm diameter. Available powers include –9.00 D to +6.00 D (0.25D steps) and cyl of 1.00 D (fits up to 1.75 D). The lenses come in the following axis: 10°, 20°, 70°, 80°, 90°, 100°, 110°, 160°, 170°, and 180°. Finally, they are available in 3 adds—low: +0.75 D to +1.25 D; mid: +1.50 D to +1.75 D; and high: +2.00 D to +2.50 D.
