Alcon announced the launch of Total30 Multifocal for Astigmatism in the United States. Total30 Multifocal for Astigmatism is a multifocal toric contact lens with water gradient technology that helps patients stay in lenses comfortably as their vision changes from standard correction to age-related presbyopia, according to Alcon. 

Alcon claims that Total30 Multifocal for Astigmatism contact lenses, made from lehfilcon A material, combine unique lens material and optical designs to provide astigmatic presbyopes with the following benefits:

• Water Gradient Material: Featuring nearly 100% water at the surface.

• Precision Profile: An optical design for presbyopia correction.

• Precision Balance 8|4: Delivering the on-eye stability for patients with astigmatism need for consistent, stable vision.

• Celligent Technology: The biomimetic contact lens surface helps resist bacteria and lipid deposits for a clean lens.

• UV Blocking and Blue-Violet Light Filtering: Total30 is the only monthly replacement contact lens family providing ultraviolet blocking and blue-violet light filtration.  

Total30 Multifocal for Astigmatism is now available in the United States and will soon be launched in limited international markets in 2026, the company said.
